I was in the mood for some classic country this week. “When I Call Your Name” by Vince Gill fits the bill perfectly for this Friday’s song. Gill’s voice is pitch-perfect and complimented by Patty Loveless doing backing vocals. This song was released in 1990. I was “living” in Dallas at the time, but was on the road constantly. This CD was in my bag for most trips and helped me fall off to sleep on more 12-hour trans-Pacific flights than I care to remember.
