Our most recent find was Five Star Chefs on Netflix. This is a cooking competition where seven professional chefs compete to bring their fine-dining concept to the historic Palm Court restaurant at London's luxurious Langham Hotel. We recommend it if you like these types of shows. This one is a bit different. You may or may not agree with the results.

Our latest watch is Season 2 of The Chelsea Detective. This Acorn TV police procedural stars Adrian Scarborough as DI Max Arnold, a detective inspector assigned to London's ritzy Chelsea neighborhood. We enjoyed Season 1 a lot and have been anticipating this next entry.

We started watching Chef's Table on Netflix last week (more on that in another post). Even though this series launched in 2015, we had never watched it. Teresa didn't want to watch the next episode today, so we decided to watch the first episode of the "spinoff", Chef's Table Pizza instead. The first episode of this series features Chris Bianco, an award winning chef from Phoenix, Arizona.

Our latest BritBox find was Beyond Paradise. This new British crime drama is a spinoff of Death In Paradise. It stars Kris Marshall as Detective Inspector Humphrey Goodman. Definitely recommended for the watchlist.

Our latest streaming find is Adrian Dunbar's Coastal Ireland. Adrian Dunbar is an actor from Northern Ireland. We have been watching him on Line of Duty. We really enjoyed watching another travel series by Martin Clunes, so we decided to give this one a try.

BritBox and Acorn have not released a lot of new shows or series updates recently. Amazon Prime recently offered some AMC shows for free, so we decided to check out A Discovery of Witches. It is a British show with a vampire trope that Teresa really enjoys, so seemed like a great candidate to add to our steaming mix.

Harrison Ford will return as the fedora-wearing icon for the fifth and final time in Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny next summer. I have enjoyed a few of the films. This might be a "stretch". Will you be watching or take a pass?

We started watching the latest "hot" Netflix film Troll last night. The setting in Norway and the folklore premise are pretty cool, but other than that, the storyline is a very standard monster story trope. We will finish it up, but not sure why it has gotten as much hype as it has.

I usually miss the big "cultural events" when they are happening on TV. I never watched Lost or Survivor. I started The Sopranos and True Blood late. I was watching Dallas for the "Who shot J.R.?" craze, adding the ending song from each Mad Men episode to my playlist, and catching who got killed off next with Game of Thrones. We almost were not going to watch Wednesday on Netflix, but I am glad we decided to give it a try. Jenna Ortega does a great job. If you haven't watched yet, we are definitely giving it a thumbs up!

Our latest "escape" watch was The World's Most Amazing Vacation Rentals on Netflix. In each episode, they travel to three vacation rental spots. One is a budget rental, one a luxury rental, and one an "unusual" rental. It was a fun watch.

Our latest find on BBC was Karen Pirie. Pirie is a young up-and-coming detective who is unexpectantly promoted and given responsibility for a twenty-five-year-old cold case, the murder of a young barmaid. The show is well paced with a good cast. Recommended if you like British crime drama.

This new marketing campaign by Belvedere featuring Daniel Craig got a lot of play in the media over the weekend. The centerpiece is an upbeat and engaging commercial that shows Craig "as himself." When it came across my daily feed on Uncrate.com this weekend, I definitely had to watch.
