One of our family’s key goals for 2021 was keeping everyone healthy. We were fortunate that Teresa was able to work from home all year and Ryan did all his classes remotely until this past September. I had to be in the office every day while I was working at the Florida Department of Health. Our team followed CDC guidelines and we were lucky not to have anyone get exposed at work.
My mother-in-law Aida and I both got our first and second doses of the Pfizer Covid19 vaccine in the initial January rollout by the Leon County Department of Health. The rest of the family got theirs from our primary care doctor in March. My mother-in-law and I got our Pfizer booster shots yesterday. Our primary care doctor had a drive-through in her parking lot. We were in and out in less than 30 minutes. Neither of us experienced significant side effects after the first series and that seems the same this time.
