I finished up the newest book in the DCI Ryan series by LJ Ross in late April. Bamburgh is the nineteenth book in the series and follows the formula that has made Ross one of the most successful authors on the Kindle platform.
Finished The Rock by LJ Ross last week. This story was released in May 2021. It is the eighteenth, and latest, novel in the DCI Ryan series that started with Holy Island which was published in December 2014.
My latest read was Cuthbert's Way by LJ Ross. This is book 17 in Ross's DCI Ryan series. This book is the second half of the story started in book 16, The Shrine. While many of Ross's novels can be read standalone, I would probably recommend reading from the beginning of the series.
Just finished reading Ryan's Christmas by LJ Ross. This is the 15th installment in Ross's DCI Ryan series. This is a short quick read that was released on Christmas Day 2019.
Just finished Borderlands by LJ Ross, Book 14 in the DCI Ryan series. As always in a DCI Ryan story, this story features a stunning setting in Northumberland in the United Kingdom. This time the primary setting is the Otterburn Training Area, a military facility in the Northumberland National Park. The story highlighted the Cheviots, a range of rolling hills straddling the Anglo-Scottish border between Northumberland and the Scottish Borders.
Jumped back into murder mysteries after a history read with Longstone by LJ Ross. This is the tenth book of the DCI Ryan series. As usual with Ross, the plot was tight and fast-paced.
I finished Book 8 in the DCI Ryan Mysteries series, Seven Bridges by LJ Ross, on the last day of March. That let me hit my goal of 9 books for the first three months of the year.
Wrapped up February with Book 7 in the DCI Ryan Mysteries series, Dark Skies by LJ Ross. Ross builds on her signature mix of a stunning setting, fast-paced plot, and engaging characters.
Finished Cragside by LJ Ross over the holiday weekend. This was a quick read. Like most of LJ Ross's work, not the deepest, but a relaxing, enjoyable read.
