I came across Rick Beato’s Everything Music channel on YouTube a while back. Rick Beato is a musician, songwriter, audio engineer, and producer. He has some interesting content on the channel including:
- What Makes This Song Great? videos, in which Beato breaks down and analyzes popular songs from all genres, highlighting the elements that make them great
- Top 20 Countdowns of guitar solos, intros, and drum beats
- Interviews with some of the biggest names in music, including Sting, Pat Metheny, and Tommy Emmanuel
- Guitar lessons and tutorials
- Rants about the music industry and other music-related topics
I have shared an example of the first two kinds of topics. Rick Beato explains complex musical concepts in a way that is both informative and entertaining. I think the channel is “wicked cool.”
