Just hit my reading goal of 26 books for 2020 with The Diary of a Man of Fifty by Henry James. This was a bit of a cheat since it really is only a short story, so I will be doing at least a couple more "real" books before the end of the year.
This is the prequel to the DCI Ryan series. This book tells the story of the case and the horrific events that set the stage for DCI Ryan being on Holy Island in Book 1 of the series.
Just wrapped up Heavenfield by LJ Ross, Book 3 in the DCI Ryan mystery series. I started on the series when someone recommended reading Holy Island, the first book in the series.
I recently finished Atomic Habits by James Clear. I am generally not a fan of "self-help" books, but I am trying to add more "what's everyone talking about" books to my reading mix, so I gave this one a deeper look.
Finished Lost Light by Michael Connelly last week. It is the ninth book in the Harry Bosch series. I haven't read through a long series from front to back like this in awhile so it has been interesting.
Finished The Eye of the World by Robert Jordan recently. This is the first book in the Wheel of Time which will be coming to Amazon Prime later this year.
I started the series after we had watched the first two seasons of the show on Amazon. I try to read one or two other books in between each Bosch. I am really enjoying them.
Lighter amusement for the holiday week. Finished first book in Fatemarked series.
Finished this earlier in the year. Will try and post reflections as I finish going forward. Well crafted, but Olive was depressing...
