“Poofing” Up The Garden

Started annual pruning, weeding and mulching we do in the garden at our home here in Tallahassee. I had some pine straw bales in the garage most of the winter and used these to get started. They were dry. My wife complained it was too “poofy” after I got it laid down in the garden.

We had a lot of overgrown plantings in our garden. We took about four feet off the Tea Olive bush in this bed. It is filling out pretty well. We also experimented with some crawling roses which are also doing well. Our ligustrum privet hedges are flowing like mad. We also added two loropetalum which are growing like mad.
