Jumped back into murder mysteries after a history read with Longstone by LJ Ross. This is the tenth book of the DCI Ryan series. As usual with Ross, the plot was tight and fast-paced. You continue to like the main characters, but none were really expanded in this story.
The setting, in this case the village Seahouses and the Farne Islands on the Northumbrian Coast, is always a key element of an LJ Ross story. You can really feel the place, the people, and the weather. Here is a short video that explores the islands.
