This Friday’s song is Country Again by Thomas Rhett. Rhett has been a favorite of mine for the past few years. Die a Happy Man from his 2015 album Tangled Up has been on my favorites playlist for quite a while. There was an interesting interview published on Rolling Stone where he talks about the pivot he made “back to his roots” with this new album.
…I wouldn’t change the things I’ve done
Or the places that I’ve been
Man, it feels good to be country again
Songwriters: Ashley Glenn Gorley / Thomas Rhett Akins / Zach Crowell

Today is a big transition day for me as well. I just finished up an interesting gig at the Florida Department of Health yesterday. I got a chance to learn a lot, work with a great team, and contribute, just a bit, to improving public health outcomes for the citizens of Florida. I am grateful to the Division of Medical Quality Assurance management team for giving me the opportunity and the team I worked with for all their support and dedication.
I start “the next big thing” for me professionally Monday. It is a “pivot back to my roots” as well. More on that to come soon…
Hope you enjoy!
