This Friday’s song is “Common Ground” by Health Sanders. Sanders burst onto the country music scene after he posted a cover of Chris Stapleton’s song ’“Either Way” on Facebook. DJ Bobby Bones heard it and invited him to perform the song live on the air. This went on to land him a record deal. You can learn more about Sanders in this article that appeared in Country Thang Daily in March 2022.
The theme of this song really hit me when it came across my YouTube stream last week. With war, disease, and economic turmoil continuing to disrupt the lives of millions across the globe and political/social divisions continuing to grow here in the United States, perhaps each of us should take a minute to consider that “when times runs out, we all end up in common ground.”
And we’re all on a different journey

We’re all findin’ our own way
We’re all livin’, we’re all learnin’
From the the cradle to the grave
We’re all weak, we’re all strong
We’re all right and we’re all wrong
And when time runs out
We all end up in common ground

I shared two versions of the song. The first is the official lyric video. The second is an acoustic version that Sanders did as a series called “Live From the Lounge.” Hope you enjoy “common Ground” by Heath Sanders.
