Jimmy Buffet‘s music has had a preferred spot on my playlists for most of my adult life. Just yesterday, “This Friday’s Song” was “Changes in Latitudes, Changes in Attitudes” to accompany our Labor Day weekend trip to Amelia Island. It was so sad to see the news this morning that this unique artist and remarkable man passed away last night.
I was lucky enough to be able to go to several of his shows over the past fifty years. Some of them really stand out. I have great memories of his show at Fenway park in 2004 as part of the License to Chill tour. Teresa and I were able to see him twice in West Palm Beach. Both were fabulous shows that were especially special because I got to see him through my wife’s exuberant eyes.
I hope the “Cheeseburger in Paradise” is just perfect. Summers will never be the same and we will miss you Mr. Buffett.
